About Me and What I Know & Believe About Wellness

I have become committed to sharing what I have learned within the past twelve years about nutrition and wellness. What I have learned, I believe to be the TRUTH about real wellness.

Modern medicine does not recognize that we have a mystical/spiritual life-force within us that is at the root of our life. Without this life giving force we are dead. In religion, this force is called the soul. Modern medicine treats us as though we are nothing more than a chemical make-up of atoms, elements and molecules.

Our life-force is at the root of all of the body’s functions. It regulates everything going on within the body. The life-force knows how to heal the body when it is injured or sick. Although, everyone including medical professionals recognize the life-force’s ability to heal the injured part they more or less ignore the sickness part.

The body’s life-force will provide the body with wellness and harmony if it is given a holistic environment suited to its design and needs. I’m sure that Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden through no efforts of their own were provided such an environment for their earthly bodies. Their air and water were clean without contamination. The soil from which the fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts/seeds grew was uncontaminated and was abundant with bacteria and minerals. Thus, they were HEALTHLY AND ENJOYED WELLNESS!

Our modern society has progressively devolved since the beginning of the industrial revolution in all factors that contribute to health. These factors are recognized to be sleep, air, water, diet, stress and physical activity. But foremost, diet for most persons is the primary dominate weakness in their lifestyle.

The modern day Standard American Diet (SAD) is comprised primarily of NON-FOODS. Non-foods are at the root cause of most modern day degenerative diseases and obesity. Today’s PROCESSED FOODS are primarily non-foods. They are void of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients which are the things that the LIFE-FORCE requires to maintain WELLNESS within our body. The result of the SAD diet is a condition of the body known as acidosis.

The body’s life-force maintains a blood pH precisely of 7.2 which is slightly alkaline. When we eat a diet that chemically permits the body to maintain the 7.2 easily then we enjoy WELLNESS. However, the SAD diet is dominantly composed of acid forming foods, which cause the body’s life-force to deplete the mineral reserves within the body and ultimately if continued can and will lead to the development of disease. Dr. Jane Powely of Wellness Plus Delaware says that the only disease that anyone has is UNOT. UNOT is an acronym UNDER NURISHED OVER TOXIC. UNOT is the primary reason people get sick. Toxicity or acidosis is the root cause of such diseases as type 2 diabetes, heart diseases of all kinds, strokes, cancers, skin ailments, joints problems, plus inflammation throughout the body and on & on.

Flesh from animals, birds and fish of all kinds (beef, pork, chicken, fish, dairy products, etc.), sugar (in all its many forms), caffeine, soft drinks/sodas, alcohol, most processed foods and MEDICATIONS all contribute to a condition of ACIDOSIS within the body.

Vitamins, Mineral & Phytochemicals

With the SAD diet which is VERY deficient in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals the bodies life-force says “I am under nourished” and then sends signals that I AM HUNGRY! This leads to overeating then to OBESITY.

Vitamin and mineral supplements are generally a waste of money and may contribute to overdosing. God created fruits and vegetables with many vitamins, minerals and thousands of phytochemicals that work synergistically producing effects that an isolated vitamin and mineral cannot normally do.

When the bodies life-force is receiving adequate amounts of vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, it turns off the “I’m hungry signal” at an appropriate time. Thus, overeating should not be a natural occurrence when eating a Whole Foods Plant Based Diet.

So What Should We Eat

Health/Wellness is best achieved by a dietary lifestyle composed of a WHOLE FOODS PLANT BASED DIET. A whole foods plant based diet is made up of the following.

  • Water
  • Fresh raw vegetables
  • Fresh raw fruits
  • Legumes and beans
  • Whole grains
  • Seeds and nuts

All of these food items should be Certified Organic, Non-GMO and the riper & fresher the better.

Food Versus Non-Food

Food should be:

  • Vine Ripened
  • Chemical Free
  • Raw
  • Fresh
  • Not Irradiated
  • Non-GMO


  • Must be found in nature and be edible without processing.
  • Can be eaten as a meal.
  • Eaten by our ancestors (that is if it has been eaten for at least several hundred years without any known health related issues then it can be considered a food). Example: Genetically Modified Foods cannot be known to be safe.

Food should provide nutrition to the body and should Produce No Harm.

Eat only Whole Foods and Whole Foods Supplements.

Raw Versus Cooked

Raw vegetables and fruits contain live active enzymes to supplement the body’s enzyme requirements. A diet of cooked and processed food requires the body to supply all of the enzymes which leads to a depletion of its enzyme reserves. Under optimum conditions, raw foods will digest themselves because they contain their own enzymes.


Wellness and/or the road to wellness is available to us at any age. The bodies life-force will immediately begin the healing process (elimination of toxicity) when we STOP the eating of Non Foods and other lifestyle factors that contribute to UNOT.

Note: Small changes are not normally very effective. A complete change of dietary lifestyle is required to reverse the UNOT condition.


In addition to diet, sleep is very, very important. An adequate amount of quality sleep is required for the life-force to perform its detoxifying progress.
